Hero Honda Sleek was launched in 1989. The bike was introduced with interesting and sporty design aiming youngsters. However, Hero Honda was not able to pick up the riders’ mind that eventually resulted in the failure of the Sleek. The Sleek was mated with a 97.2cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled engine. It was capable to generate maximum power of 7.0 PS @ 8000 rpm. Its engine was coupled with a 4 speed gear transmission. The bike was offered only in kick start. The top speed of the bike is 85 kmph. The bike had been equipped with several technical specifications which are carried by present generation motorcycles.
